Maria Alejandra Rojas was thrown out of the window when she tried to cry out for help from the fourth-floor apartment.

Relationships do not always have a happy ending. When it does not work out, the best thing to do is to move on from it mutually. However, one man from Colombia could not believe his partner left him. Instead of accepting the reality of the situation, he brutally injured and tortured her. According to The Sun, Maria Alejandra Rojas was subjected to days of abuse after she broke up with her boyfriend, Jose Maria Ortega Nino on 23, August 2020 in his apartment.
Following the breakup, the cruel man locked the woman in the bathroom and assaulted her for more than a week. According to the local media, he beat her with a pair of shoes and left her under a cold shower for more than eight hours. The merciless man allegedly abused the woman for at least eight hours a day.

However, on the eighth day, the man left the window of his apartment open. Rojas, understanding that this was her only opportunity to get out, stuck her head out of the window started screaming for help. When the man noticed Rojas calling for help, he threw her out of his fourth-floor window.
Luckily, the fire services rescued her and rushed her to the hospital immediately. After going through multiple operations and other treatments, she took to social media to talk about her ordeal. She told users that she had been "fighting for her life" since 31 August, 2020. She claimed that she was "beaten brutally" by her ex-partner who could not accept their breakup. She also added that she suffered from a broken leg, hip, and pelvis after falling off the window.
"The doctors said it was a miracle. So far I've had five operations and more to come on my face," wrote the 24-year-old, who lost all her teeth. She further stated, "I fear for me and my family's safety, given that he threatened to harm my son and my mum, so I want to make it clear that anything that may happen to us is Jose Maria Ortega Nino's fault."
Following the abuse, Nino was arrested on 17 November, 2020. He will be charged with kidnap and torture. Besides, the prosecutors stated that there was evidence that "after the relationship ended, on August 23, she approached the apartment of the investigated person, where he kept her for a week." Meanwhile, the man denied throwing the woman out of the window.
