Reese Witherspoon's daughter says she's attracted to people | "Gender is Whatever"

Ava Philippe recently came out while answering a Q&A on her Instagram Story.

Ava Philippe, 22, the daughter of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe has recently come out while commenting on her sexuality. She was doing a Q&A segment with her followers on Instagram, reports Comic Sands. A user asked, "do you like boys or girls" to which Ava replied with a picture of hers, "I'm attracted to… people! (Gender is whatever)." She did not use any label for her sexuality but revealed that gender doesn't matter when she is drawn towards somebody. People from the LGBTQIAP+ community are extremely happy and proud of the fact that famous personalities are debunking the cis-hetero normative of romantic relationships. She used the gender-neutral term "people" to highlight the rising narrative of inclusion and fluidity within the queer community.

Ava is the eldest child of Reese and Ryan and has an 18-year-old brother Deacon, as per Daily Mail. Her parents married the same year they starred in Cruel Intentions. They divorced in 2008 and have had children with various partners since then. Reese has a nine-year-old son, Tennesse, with her husband Jim Toth.

Ava's sexuality was not the only topic she addressed in her Instagram Q&A. A fan asked, "Do you think your life would've been different if your parents weren't celebrities?" The aspiring model replied, "Yes. Very. That said though, I wouldn't change a thing! The good and the not so good all made me who I am and gave me so many amazing opportunities." She added, "And my parents get to do what they love which is super cool."

Fans also asked what she wants to do in life to which Ava replied that she is still in the stage of figuring her life out. She said, "I ‘influence’ for brands on social media now and then and up until recently, I was in college." She has modeled for Beyoncé's brand IVY PARK, Draper James, RODARTE, and Pat McGrath Labs.

In another interview with E! she spoke about her future in acting and said, “I’m exploring, and that’s so awesome. I’m so lucky to be able to do that and to find things that work for me. I can’t wait to see what’s next.”

Ava studied “a lot of psychology, sociology and social welfare" in college. She talks about mental health amongst other things on her Instagram and says, “I do have a platform of some sort, for sure, and I want to be conscious of what I am posting. I might not always get it right but I’m always going to try my best to put good out there."

Speaking about her daughter, Reese said, "Ava is so down-to-earth. She wants to do great things in the world. She's studying and learning and trying to find herself. It's a big thing in life to try different things and figure out what is really your path."
