William Honors His Mother's Hands-On Parenting Style By Spending Time With His Kids Like Diana Used To With Him & Harry

Kate Middleton captured those treasured moments.

A parent is a role model for their children. They guide them in the right direction and attend to their every need. Moreover, they also try to engage in leisure activities with the children. However, it is not always possible for the parent to accommodate more quality time with their children even if they want to. Having a career and other adult responsibilities don't always leave them much time or energy on some days. But with the lockdown in place, many have the chance to make up for the lost time with their kids. Prince William, usually engaged with royal duties is doing just that with his three children.

According to People, Kate Middleton along with Prince William and the children are enjoying some family time. The family staying in isolation at Anmer Hall in Norfolk is surely making the most out of quarantine. The mother of three shared a series of pictures on Instagram depicting it. The pictures showed William along with Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2 in their backyard. While one of the pictures was a classic shot with all of them posing for a family portrait on a backyard swing, the other two snaps showed the real relationship between the father and his children.  The portrait was captioned, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new picture of The Duke with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis ahead of The Duke’s birthday tomorrow," according to Instagram.

The other snaps showed the kids piling on their father and a smiling Prince William with the kids on his back. The royals thanked their followers for their kind wishes for William, who celebrated his 38th birthday on 21 June 2020.  According to the sources, the royal is “enjoying his children and having that extra time with them," according to People. The source also added that the candid photos portrayed, "the realities of family life, of coping with rambunctious kids and relaxing with them and having time with them." The source also added that the last couple of months have provided the royals some quality bonding time with their kids.

“They are spending more time together than they would normally, and they are having to do more with the children than they usually would. They still have help at home, but they are doing more," said the source, according to People.

Moreover, this is the first time, people got an inside look into the relationship between Prince William and his children. Kate Middleton was successful in capturing William in his dad mode having fun with his active children. It also stands out from the usual format of royal family pictures.

Meanwhile, Prince Williams's playful time with his kids can be traced back to his mother, Princess Diana. Unlike other royals, she had a different style of parenting. She was a hands-on mother, who made sure that her kids received her motherly love. She was so determined that she never compromised the needs of her children.

Additionally, she made them see the realities of life and gave them the opportunity to see the world through the eyes of a common child. She stood in queues with them in amusement parks and even took out the children to enjoy happy meals at McDonald's. "She very much wanted to get us to see the rawness of real life. And I can't thank her enough for that, 'cause reality bites in a big way, and it was one of the biggest lessons I learned is, just how lucky and privileged so many of us are — particularly myself," recalled William in an interview with ABC News in 2012, according to Moms.

Speaking of her parenting, Diana said in an interview in 1995, "I’ve taken the children to all sorts of areas where I’m not sure anyone of that age in this family has been before. And they have knowledge – they may never use it, but the seed is there, and I hope it will grow because knowledge is power," according to Express UK.
