Prince Harry Shares Sweet Moment With Niece Princess Charlotte at the Queen’s Funeral

Donning a black outfit and a diamond horseshoe brooch in memory of her great-love grandmother's of horses, the princess behaved with absolute grace for a young child dealing with so much grief.

Even though the entire world was watching all of the royal family, well-wishers have been swooning over a tender moment between seven-year-old Charlotte and her uncle, Prince Harry. Princess Charlotte was seated between the Duke of Sussex and her mother, Princess Kate, on the front seat on one side of St. George's Chapel for the committal service in Windsor. Princess Kate was followed by Prince George and then Prince William. Prince Harry, who recently turned 38, glanced up, and caught 7-year-old Princess Charlotte's eye, as she was seen fixing her hat, and turning to face her uncle. Prince Harry passed a comforting smile at his niece, who returned the gesture before turning back away to see the ceremony, per Hello Magazine.

Donning a black outfit and a diamond horseshoe brooch in memory of her great-grandmother's love of horses, the princess behaved with absolute grace for a young child dealing with so much grief, as did her brother, Prince George. Charlotte and George, the Queen's great-grandchildren, were two of the youngest attendees among the 2,000 people present for her royal burial. The young royals followed their great-grandmother's coffin as Charlotte had her hands clasped in front of her and George held his arms at his side. Cameras caught the two siblings talking to one other while their great-grandmother was being ceremoniously carried through the streets. Charlotte appeared to be teaching her elder brother George proper royal etiquette. While they waited for Queen Elizabeth II's coffin to pass by, Princess Charlotte could be seen telling Prince George, "You need to bow".

Their younger brother Prince Louis, who was perhaps deemed too young to take part in the funeral processions, given that the 4-year-old may struggle to understand. The young children of Harry and Meghan, daughter Lilibet Diana, named after the Queen's childhood nickname, and son Archie Harrison, 3, were also not present during the burial and committal service. But the committal service at St. George's Chapel saw many others of the Queen's 12 great-grandchildren. Isla, 10, and Savannah, 12, as well as Mike and Zara Tindall's eldest daughter Mia, 8, and Peter Phillips' kids, were spotted arriving for the funeral.

Another sweet moment at the service was captured between the Duchess of Sussex and young Princess Charlotte, per People. The 41-year-old appeared emotional as she observed the Queen's casket being lowered into a hearse. Meghan appeared outside Westminster Abbey with the Queen Consort Camilla, the Princess of Wales, and Princess Charlotte, 7, after the moving service honoring the life of the late queen. But a little while later, Meghan seemed to capture Princess Charlotte's attention and gave her a comforting smile. The Princess returned the gesture with a smile before turning around. The sweet moments took place when the late monarch's casket was transported to Wellington Arch in Hyde Park, in front of Westminster Abbey. It was then brought to St. George's Chapel in Windsor, where she will be laid to rest.

Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8 at the age of 96 at Balmoral Castle, becoming the longest-reigning monarch in the history of the British kingdom.
