Sharing a never-before-seen childhood photo of Walker holding her as a baby, Meadow wrote: "I love and miss you endlessly."
Hollywood was in complete shock when Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker tragically lost his life in a car crash, part-way through the filming of Furious 7. Although it has now been eight years since that heart-rending day in Hollywood history, for Walker's loyal fans and loved ones, the pain and sorrow caused by his demise undoubtedly remain as fresh as it was on November 30, 2013. Perhaps his absence is most felt by his beloved daughter, Meadow Rain Walker, with whom the late star shared a close bond. She turned to social media on the occasion of his eighth death anniversary on Tuesday to share a touching tribute to her Walker.
Sharing a never-before-seen childhood photo of Walker holding her as a baby, Meadow wrote: "I love and miss you endlessly. Today and every day I celebrate your life, your love. And you, my best friend." In a second post, the model—who is now 23—announced a partnership between the Paul Walker Foundation, Giving Tuesday and Toys for Tots. "To honor my dad's legacy, we hope you'll join us to Do Good. Today, profits from our Limited Edition PWF Yeti Mug will go directly to #ToysForTots. Happy Giving Tuesday!" Meadow wrote.
"Our Foundation Family plays a crucial role in our mission to #DoGood. Your support allows us to spread goodwill where it's needed most, transforming lives and caring for our planet in the process. From building schools, to advocating for ocean conservancy, to our annual scholarship, affecting positive change is at the heart of everything we do. We love and appreciate you," she added. Meadow—who had turned 15 just weeks before her father's sudden demise—previously left longtime fans of the Fast and Furious franchise in tears in October when she had Walker's co-star and close friend, Vin Diesel, walk her down the aisle at her wedding to actor Louis Thornton-Allan.
The 54-year-old Diesel also shared a heartfelt note for his late friend on Tuesday while reflecting on the special bond between Meadow and his own daughter, Haina. "So much to tell you... I can remember that day when you and I were filming that scene in F4 where we were eating Chinese food and we had a brother combat scene which ended in you saying 'Letty just wanted you to come home Dom...' When we were done filming that day you came into my trailer and asked, what's on your mind?" the star wrote. "You always knew when something was on my mind. Haha. I told you that I was about to have a baby and didn't know what to expect at the hospital which I was heading to after work. Will never forget what you told me... you said a lot of tough guys will tell you to wait outside of the delivery room, but that's wrong."
"Go in there, actually cut the umbilical cord and it will be the best day of your life. You, of course, [were] talking from experience, having already an angel of your own. It's been eight years today... and not a day goes by that I don't reflect on the brotherhood we were blessed to have... but you know that. Tragedies in life are always followed by life's blessings if you just stay open and have faith. Look at this photo Pablo, it will make you smile. The same angel that you helped me prepare for in the most beautiful way with your brotherly advice is the same angel that precious Meadow asked to be her Maid of Honor," Diesel continued.
"How could I have known that back on the 2008 set of Fast... but maybe somehow you did. Miss you. My children always tell me that uncle Paul is with you dad, always... and I know in my heart that they are right. Miss you Pablo...," he concluded.
