The Hollywood A-listers, Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have recently announced that they are parting ways. They informed their fans about the divorce by releasing a joint statement on Momoa's official Instagram as Bonet is not on social media, reports Comicbook.
The statement read, "We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times... A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception... feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring," the statement read. "And so~ We share our Family news~That we are parting ways in marriage."
Momoa and Bonet allegedly met in a jazz club in 2005, long before Momoa rose to fame as Khal Drogo on "Game of Thrones," per CNN. Speaking to James Corden on 'The Late Late Show', Momoa revealed that he had a crush on Bonet since the time she rose to popularity as Denise Huxtable on the famous 1980s sitcom "The Cosby Show." "Ever since I was like, 8 years old and I saw her on the TV, I was like, 'Mommy, I want that one.'" It did happen. "We just happened to be in the right place at the right time," he told Corden, per PEOPLE. They got officially married in 2017.
The pair said in their statement, "We share this not because we think it's newsworthy but so that as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty. The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become…" They further added, "Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life our children. Teaching our children what's possible. Living the Prayer. May Love Prevail✨ J & L." Lola, their first child, was born in July 2007, and Nakoa-Wolf, their second child, was born in December 2008. Momoa also helped Bonet in the upbringing of her daughter, Zoë Kravitz, 33, with ex-husband Lenny Kravitz.

Bonet shared about her marriage as reported by Porter Magazine in 2018 saying, "In that moment, love came and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do." She added, "He basically picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, caveman style!" The couple hasn't shied away from telling the world how special they felt with each other. Momoa told Huffington Post in 2016, "She's so amazing because I'm such a dip—-. She's an angel. She's amazing. God bless her. She's seeing this one through. I've done a lot of dumb things in my life."
