Drew Barrymore, actress and talk-show host, on her podcast Drew's News chatted with Ross Matthews about the Netflix series How to Build a Sex Room. While talking kinks and bedroom drama, Barrymore had a lot of tea to spill, PEOPLE reports. She said, “I'm a dirty bird … but just in the corners of my mind where I never will tell and it's just for me." The 47-year-old actress continued, adding, "I can understand certain kinky things," Barrymore, 47, continued. "Listen, I've tried everything. I've done everything — that's why I'm so boring now."

The talk show host was discussing her dating history when she revealed that she feels that she's become boring these days after having tried everything. Drew also went on to state that she wasn't sure if she liked everything, but she tried everything just to see what she thought. "I think that's fun. And exhausting," Matthews replied. For herself, Barrymore claimed that she is content without a sex room. She laughed and replied, "I'm fine in the bed, mish posish," which is slang for a certain position. "Those days are long gone," she said. "You used a keyword: exhausting. But back when I was younger, I had all the energy in the world. But now, no."

Barrymore has been single since her divorce from her ex-husband Will Kopelman in 2016. Barrymore's remarks came one month after she revealed further information in a blog post to explain her statement that she can spend "years" without having sex. The latter's comments were stated in September on her daytime talk show in relation to Andrew Garfield's six-month celibacy for practicing to act in the 2016 film Silence. "I was like, 'What's wrong with me that six months doesn't seem like a very long time?' I was like, 'Yeah, so?'," she had written at the time.

Many people found the blog offensive and inappropriate, and many commented that it kind of festered a "hatred of sex."

But the actress was quick to apologize to the public right after she was bashed for it. She explained in her October blog post that as an adult she has "very different feelings about intimacy" as she had before, saying, "I'm sure that there was one point in my life where six months might have seemed extreme, but I'm on the other side of that now." The Wedding Singer actress went on to say she "searched [her] whole life," and with the help of her therapist, she had a realization about the distinction between sex and love, when her therapist told her, "Sex is not love. It is the expression of love."
