He married Jenny McCarthy in 2014 and embraced her and Evan with open arms.

Donnie Wahlberg was given a second chance in love and life, and he is making the most of it.

Wahlberg, an actor and musician, married Kim Fey in 1999, after five years of dating. Sadly, the marriage did not last. In 2008, the couple filed for divorce, claiming irreconcilable differences. The couple has two children, Xavier and Elijah. Wahlberg has visiting rights, but their mother has primary custody. According to reports, the couple is on excellent terms and has mastered the art of co-parenting their children, reports Amomama

Following the divorce, Wahlberg was unmarried until he met Jenny McCarthy, an actress and television personality. The pair have been married for almost eight years now but it took a long time and a lot of grief for them to discover one other. McCarthy also had a failed marriage before meeting her current spouse. She was formerly married to director John Asher. She met the director on the set of Diamonds in 1999 and the couple married the following year. Evan, their son, was born soon after their marriage.

McCarthy filed for divorce in 2005, alleging irreconcilable differences, after they had been married for six years. Her kid was diagnosed with autism in the same year. While the diagnosis stunned her, it did not distress her or change her feelings towards her son in the least. She was unaffected by his diagnosis and continued to work and focus on her kid by taking him to UCLA doctors and programs.

However, it strained her marriage with the director and shattered their friendship. While reflecting on the grounds behind their divorce, she said in an interview, "John was starting to get angry at me because he felt ignored. The only fantasies I wanted to imagine were Evan being able to say, ‘I love you, mommy.’ I didn’t care if I never had sex again." Asher moved out of their house at McCarthy's request, and she continued to pay their son's hospital costs on her own.

Following the divorce, the actress fell in love with actor Jim Carrey, a more attentive lover who liked Evan. Fans adored the couple and supported them. They were naturally saddened when the pair announced their split in 2010. McCarthy stated publicly that the relationship had ceased to be enjoyable and, as a result, ended.

Wahlberg and McCarthy had similar stories to tell. Both TV stars married in 1999 and had children with their ex-spouses. While Wahlberg was captivated by the onscreen actress when they met in 2012, he didn't make a move until a year later, after reconnecting on The Jenny McCarthy Show.

The pair got engaged in 2014. Evan assisted Wahlberg with the proposal, demonstrating that the actor knew him well. McCarthy's take on the surprise proposal was charming. They married before the end of the year in a Sunday wedding ceremony in St. Charles, Ill., with Evan there to lead his mother down the aisle. Wahlberg has been in awe of his wife ever since they became a family. The singer is always serenading her with compliments that depict a happy household.

Wahlberg, a father of two kids, had no trouble bonding with another youngster; nevertheless, Evan made it extremely simple. The actor revealed in an interview with US Magazine that he has a close relationship with his adorable stepson and interacts with him in ways McCarthy could never imagine. McCarthy is overjoyed by his connection with Evan; she has previously spoken about her dread of never meeting the right man. After over a decade of marriage, the mother-of-one constantly praises her husband for being the perfect and most fantastic person.

In 2019, McCarthy gushed about how her spouse surprised her with an extravagant Christmas gift. She told Page Six, "One Christmas, early on, Donnie handed me one of the greatest gifts ever, which was...that he was taking care of Evan's college tuition."
