Raised by a single mom, Emma Heming had worked her way to being one of the top models and then later shifted to acting.
Lockdown or not, people all over the world are finding ways to celebrate milestones with loved ones. People may not be able to have big parties to celebrate their special days but they are getting together with the closest family members. For some people that might mean getting together with their blended family. For Emma Heming Willis, Bruce Willis' wife, that is the case.
Heming turned 42 on June 18 and the day was celebrated with her husband and kids as well as his former wife, Demi Moore, as per Evening Standard. The Willis family has been isolating together at their Idaho ranch; Willis and Moore, had been isolating with their three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah before Heming and her daughters Evelyn and Mabel joined in later.
During the lockdown, the family celebrated Evelyn's sixth birthday, something Willis had thought he would miss, as per Mirror UK. After being separated for four weeks, he was finally able to see Heming and his daughters. On Evelyn's birthday, the youngest member of the family was seen in an Instagram post riding her bike by herself as her older sisters and Moore cheered on.
Next, the family celebrated Heming's birthday together on June 18. The birthday girl shared a photo of Willis, herself, her kids, Moore, and other family members. She captioned the post, "It really was a happy birthday for me." The Willis family has shown that it is mature and capable of being together during the tough times the world is going through, despite Willis and Moore no longer being married. They are one big happy blended family.
They also celebrated Father's Day together on June 21 during which Willis and Heming went fishing with their girls.
In another post, she shared a photo of Mabel kissing her father on the nose. "We love and adore him this much. Happy Father’s Day to one of the best 🥰" the post said. The Die Hard actor seems to be glowing with happiness while hanging out with his daughter in the photo. Unlike the tough guy characters he plays, he just looks like a devoted dad who loves his daughter in this one.
Heming has been sharing more photos as the family quarantines and spends time together. She shared a photo of herself with her two daughters, all of them wearing masks, as she spoke about a cause. "We completed our virtual 5k for @roomtogroworg! We walked because we believe that every family should have the support and resources they need to unlock their family’s full potential. Thank you @roomtogroworg for providing that service," she said on Instagram.
On Mother's Day, she gave a special shoutout to her mother, Zorina, who doesn't live in the US. "I'm simply missing my mom so much this Mother’s Day and everyday as she’s across the pond in Europe. It will be the best day ever when we can finally be reunited again," she wrote on Instagram.
She was born on the island of Malta to a Guyanese mother, Zorina Heming, and an English father. She was raised by her single mom as her parents divorced when she was young. The mother and daughter moved to North London, where she spent her early childhood years, according to Moms.com. They moved to Southern California later and stayed there until she finished high school.
She started off as a model at the age of 16 when her mother signed her up for The British Elle Supermodel, a competitive modeling competition in London which she won in 1991, and was a successful one too before moving to acting in 2001. She played small roles initially and was noticed for her roles in the movies The Comebacks that hit the theaters in 2007, and the 2013 film Red 2.
She met Bruce at the gym in 2007 and they hit it off 13 years ago. They dated for 15 months before getting married in March 2009, in Turks and Caicos island. The former model is now an entrepreneur who signed up with The Lions modeling agency to launch her skin-care brand for new mothers.
