57-Year-Old Father of Five Children Finds Out That None of The Children Are His

After a DNA test was conducted on the children and the father, it was revealed that the man is not the father of any of those five children.

Like a rug being pulled from under someone’s feet, this man from Nigeria just felt the exact same way. The 57-year-old recently took a DNA test with his kids only to find out that none of his five children are actually his. Henry Nwazuruahu Shield, a former Special Assistant to the Former FCT (Federal Capital Territory) Minister, Bala Mohammed, shared this story on his Facebook page.

He wrote, “Man is 57 years old, did DNA test for all his 5 children and none of the children was his own. He was married for 20 years. They are telling him to ‘be a man.’ Ok.” As mentioned above, this rude awakening was thrust upon the person after 20 years of marriage. Most of the messages dedicated to this man are messages in support while others take their time to mock him for even getting a DNA test in the first place. A user named, Moncheri Lisa Ebere wrote, “Which kind yeye talk is that/ Be a man for what/ Kaiii I fear who no fear my gender.” Another user named Gabriella Gift wrote, “This is pure callousness, that woman will never go unpunished.... she is heartless.”

In other similar circumstances, a US-based Nigerian man Eguveso Enifome, found out that the seven-year-old daughter is not his after a DNA test. He shared multiple videos on his Facebook page sharing this predicament. In one of them, he admitted to having sex with the mother before and hence didn’t seem concerned. Two years later, he was informed that the child was not his. The biological father came to pick up the child and noted that the kid even resembled him. After this dilemma, it was also revealed that the woman had multiple partners while she was dating Enifome.

This just shows that there is definitely a risk when it comes to taking a DNA test. Like this couple, who were both adopted and decided to take an ancestry test to find out where they came from. What they didn’t expect was finding out that they’re actually siblings. “I discovered it when we did the DNA test thing to see our ancestry and what exactly we are. I ordered two for us, we spit in the tube, and sent it out,” she wrote. “It took like a month for the results to come back and I was excited to see what we were but before I could even get to that. I saw that we were siblings. I was SHOCKED to say the least.”

The original poster on Reddit, decided to share this on r/offmychest a community where people can share things that people may not want to tell others. Which is why OP decided to share this story here. In fact, the poster was so concerned that she didn’t want to tell her boyfriend in the first place. “I only just found out this information and I haven't told my boyfriend, she said. Adding to her stress, she notes, “I'm really hoping they made a mistake but things are kind of starting to make sense to me now. We always get the ‘you guys look so alike’ or ‘he's the male version of you.’ Long before this test we've always gotten compared. We always just laughed it off but I have spent the morning looking at pictures of us together and realizing that we really do look so alike. It's freaking me out and I don't know what I should do."

Many people decided to support her in saying that since they didn’t grow up together, the sibling that would have been created wouldn’t have happened and as long as they don’t have kids, it shouldn’t be a problem. Which is exactly what the couple had chosen anyways. But now that the boyfriend is aware of this information things have become awkward between the two of them. OP notes, “If we never decided to do this test we'd be blissfully unaware.”
